What Next For PM Mudavadi After Speaker Wetangula Positioned Himself As President Ruto's Successor

The national assembly speaker, Hon Moses Wetangula, has been receiving massive political support from western region for decades specifically in Bungoma and Trans Nzoia county.

Ahead of the next general election speaker Wetangula made it very clear that he will support president Ruto's second as he waits for 2032 to general election to contest for presidential seat. Speaker Wetangula also added that currently they are looking for key leaders to work with.

The chief cabinet secretary, Hon Musalia Mudavadi, who also hails from this region is also eyeing for this seat after president Ruto. Mudavadi folded his Amani National Congress (ANC) party to merge with the UDA party.

Will Mudavadi drop his candidacy to back speaker Wetangula who has declared his thirst for presidential seat? Will they part ways? The duo have been working together in the last four previous general elections.
