“Wanataka Kumshafirisha Uhuru Kenyatta Kama Raila” – Kalonzo Drops Explosive Claim

Kalonzo Musyoka has ignited sharp political debate after issuing forceful statements against President William Ruto’s administration. 

His remarks have heightened tensions between the opposition and government, drawing national attention as political competition intensifies ahead of Kenya’s shifting electoral landscape.

Addressing supporters during a public gathering, Kalonzo alleged that the current administration is pursuing deliberate plans to politically weaken former President Uhuru Kenyatta. 

He argued that such moves are designed to sideline key political figures viewed as influential opponents.

The Wiper leader compared the alleged strategy to past efforts he claimed were used against opposition leader Raila Odinga. 

According to Kalonzo, similar political tactics have historically been employed to isolate prominent leaders and reduce their national influence.

By invoking these historical comparisons, Kalonzo suggested a recurring trend of executive interference in Kenya’s political processes. 

He argued that such actions threaten democratic fairness by undermining leaders who command strong regional and national political support.

Kalonzo issued a strong warning that any attempt to interfere with Uhuru Kenyatta’s freedoms could spark serious political instability. 

He cautioned that such actions risk deepening divisions and creating dangerous regional tensions across the country.

His remarks followed recent controversial comments by UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar. 

Those statements linked historical land injustices in the Coast region to wider political disputes involving Uhuru Kenyatta and the politically significant Mt. Kenya region.

Rejecting apologies offered by sections of UDA leadership, Kalonzo insisted accountability must go beyond public statements. 

He argued that those responsible for divisive rhetoric should face scrutiny through both local legal frameworks and international institutions.

The opposition’s position reflects broader efforts to defend Mt. Kenya’s political standing amid rising tensions.
