Speaking during an interview with TV47 journalist Samira Mohammed, aired on the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness YouTube channel on Sunday, February 8, Owuor claimed that God had revealed to him events surrounding the upcoming election cycle.
According to the cleric, the period leading to and following the 2027 polls could become the most challenging chapter in Kenya’s history since independence.
“The Lord has spoken to me about 2027,” Owuor said.

“I want this nation to know that what is coming is very serious. If I described everything the Lord has shown me, people would fall down and cry before Him.”
The preacher described witnessing what he termed “unbelievable contestation” during the election period, suggesting that political tensions would escalate to levels that could become difficult to manage.

While he avoided giving specific details, Owuor said the situation he saw was close to spiralling out of control.
A key aspect of his prophecy, he added, involved the re-emergence of young people in the political arena. Owuor claimed that the Gen Z population would return with unprecedented force and influence, reshaping the country’s political landscape.
“I have seen the Gen Zs come back in a manner you have never seen,” he stated.

Despite the grim outlook, Owuor insisted that the prophecy was a warning rather than a final judgment. He maintained that Kenya could still avert the predicted turmoil if the nation embraced repentance and turned back to God.

According to him, divine mercy remains available, but only if Kenyans respond in time.
“The Lord has called for repentance because He is fair and just,” Owuor said.

“If the nation repents, then these things will not happen. That is why this message has been released.”
He warned that failure to heed the call would leave the country exposed to a period of instability during the elections, noting that at some point the situation could run beyond human control.
Owuor further urged the government to take a leading role in organising a national repentance day in 2026, which he described as a critical window for the country to seek divine intervention before the 2027 polls.
“There is a window in 2026 when I believe the nation will repent and the Lord will relent,” he said.

The latest prophecy comes amid renewed scrutiny of Owuor’s past predictions. In 2025, claims circulated alleging that he had foretold the end of the world on August 2 of that year.

He later dismissed the reports as false and malicious, saying his words had been misquoted.
Beyond his prophecies, Owuor has continued to draw attention through large public gatherings, including a recent rally in Nakuru where he claimed to have healed people suffering from chronic illnesses.
