“Ni Pesa Yako Wanakula Tu” — Ruto Warned After Thousands of UDA Aspirants Throng State House

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has issued a blunt warning to President William Ruto, cautioning that the growing crowds of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) aspirants frequenting State House may be misleading and politically dangerous ahead of the 2027 General Election.

In a strongly worded post on X, Amisi argued that many of the individuals presenting themselves as loyal UDA aspirants are not driven by ideology or grassroots support, but by the expectation of financial handouts and future political rewards.

“Ni pesa yako wanakula tu,” Amisi warned, suggesting that the show of enthusiasm around the ruling party is artificial and transactional rather than a true reflection of voter sentiment on the ground.

To underscore his point, the outspoken lawmaker cited Nairobi County as a prime example of what he described as political self-deception within UDA’s top leadership.

According to Amisi, the ruling party has attracted at least 112 aspirants eyeing parliamentary seats in Nairobi alone, despite the county having only 17 constituencies.

This, he explained, translates to an average of about seven UDA aspirants per constituency, yet only one candidate can ultimately secure the party ticket during nominations. Amisi questioned what would become of the remaining aspirants once nominations are concluded.

“After nomination, only one will carry the UDA flag. Where will the other six go?” he posed.

“Will they all be appointed in the next government? Appointed where, by whom, and for what reason? That is a big, open lie being sold to the President.”

Amisi further warned that Nairobi, like most capital cities across the world, has historically been hostile to sitting governments.

He described the county as a swing vote that remains largely anti-establishment, regardless of the party in power.

“Nairobi is 80 per cent anti-government,” he claimed, adding that even with strategic alliances, the ruling coalition would struggle to make major inroads in traditional opposition strongholds such as Embakasi East, Kibra, Westlands, and Kasarani.

The Saboti MP urged Kenyans surrounding the President to be honest and realistic, warning that shielding Ruto from political truths could expose him to a “rude shock” at the ballot in 2027.

“Please let the man breathe, relax, and hear the truth,” Amisi said, insisting that crowds and aspirant lists do not automatically translate into votes.
